With kitchen appliances all in one place, the work space in this kitchen is very small. The counter cuts the room in half and there is unused space behind it. The decor is outdated and there is no sitting area in the kitchen.

The original counter space that cut the room in half was replaced with an island containing a built-in sink. This allows for easy access to the entire kitchen and adjacent eating area. Work space is nearly doubled. The light color of the new cabinets, counter tops, and tile floors brightens up the room.
