Robert and Donna Robbins, owners of Paul Davis Restoration of Western Massachusetts, founded their franchise office on a simple premise — to maintain and provide a high quality of service and expertise to their customers and the insurance industry. Today, as the office celebrates its 15-year anniversary, that longevity has turned a local franchise into a multi million dollar company and leader in the area’s restoration service industry. “Business, industry knowledge and marketing play an active and daily role at Paul Davis. We attribute our success to two key factors. We work hard to please our customers and always try to do the right thing,” said co-owner Robert Robbins.
Robbins, along with his business partner and wife Donna, credit the success of their business to long time and dedicated staff members including Carolee LaMarre, marketing representative; Irene Lopes, job cost analyst; Edward Geraghty, job technician; Ernest Gomez, job technician; Dave Lessard, project manager, along with 14 additional full and part time employees. The Robbins’ also attribute their success to spending time and money on advertising and marketing activities including yellow page ads, a dedicated marketing representative, business to business marketing in the insurance industry, and word of mouth.
The company specializes in providing emergency services for properties that have been damaged by water, mold, fire or vandalism. All Paul Davis owners and technicians are trained in Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) standards for inspection, cleaning and disaster restoration. IICRC is a non-profit certifying body which includes expertise in the flooring inspection, floor covering, fabric cleaning, and disaster restoration industry of fire and water.
“Most of our work comes during a time of great stress in our customers lives, we try hard to keep that in mind and help them through the process of not only the home repair, but getting their life back to normal,” said Robbins.
Robert Robbins opened the business in 1991 on Main Street in Hampden and moved in 1994, to 141 Main St., in Indian Orchard. “We all play an important role in every aspect of the business, for example — improving sales performance, customer relationships, and marketing campaigns; managing jobs and staffing and supply chains; and communicating with our insurance partners, customers, and suppliers,” he said.
